New video from Therefore I Am: 'I Am Only An Island'

I met this band at Warped Tour this summer and reviewed the album in spring. I absolutely love Therefore I Am and can't say enough good about them. I am bummed their show Austin show was canceled, but maybe SXSW or spring tour will bring them back around. In the meantime, check out their new video for "I Am Only An Island". If you like it, it is off their album The Sound of Human Lives. Honestly, it is not even the best song on the album.

Therefore I Am Warped: Interview with Alex Correia

One of my favorite new bands, and not just on the Warped Tour, is Boston’s own Therefore I Am. They are a post hardcore band who is going to make some noise and take the scene by storm anywhere they play. There is just something about Boston that produces great hardcore acts. The Dropkick Murphys have always been my favorite band from Boston, but Therefore I Am get just as many plays in my iPod these days. I sat down with Alex Correia (vocals) to talk about their home town, the dark anger of their new album and of course Warped Tour.

Some More Warped Tour Pics

Me and my good friend Ajay Miranda with Brad Bell and Craig Owens from Chiodos. Check out Ajay's interview on Double Stereo with Chiodos. For being such a huge star in the Alternative Press world, they were some of the coolest dudes you'll meet.

Me with Dallas Green from Alexisonfire at the San Antonio Warped Tour stop. In case you were wondering, it is pronounced "Alex-is-on-fire". They're a cool band from Ontario, Canada. You should check them out along with their interview on Double Stereo.

Me with Chris 2 from punk rock legends, Anti-Flag. Unfortunately I didn't catch their set this year, but I have seen them three times already. I was just stoked to get this picture.

Vans Warped Tour Compilation 2009

One of the things I look forward to every summer when the Warped Tour comes around is their annual Warped Tour Compilation album. This year’ s compilation, which feature’s NOFX’s Fat Mike on the cover, is one of the more diverse Warped Compilations to date. I wouldn’t go as far as to say it is the best of the series, but it is a must own for anyone who is going or went to Warped Tour this year.

Album Review: The Sound of Human Lives by Therefore I Am

A great album from a band on this year’s Warped Tour is The Sound of Human Lives by Therefore I Am. Somewhat screamo, somewhat hardcore and little indie is the best way to describe Therefore I Am. Whatever the style or genre they fall under, it’s all aggressive and well put together. The fans at Warped Tour are going to love them. The album has already passed my “car test”.
