Lollapalooza just got better.After a tour with Deftones and an upcoming tour with label mate Tera Melos, the trio will perform at Grant Park for the biggest summer music festival in the land. If you have tickets and travel plans, you should be very excited.

Peter, Bjorn and John debut "Second Chance" on Conan

Conan scored the national debut of Peter, Bjorn and John's new single "Second Chance". The song is on their upcoming release, Gimme Some, which hits stores on March 29.  They were rockin' the cowbell weren't they?

The White White Lights: New interview and video clip

This video talks about this week's featured Echotone B-Side release. In the video is The Onion Editor and the head if Indierect, Daniel Perlaky. The video features this year's buzz band, a band I'm a big fan of, The White White Lights. I liked it because it has Perlaky shamelessly plugging his band and talking about the pros and cons of creating music and selling it. The video also features a live clip of "In The Pines" from The White White Lights. New Album Review and Video From Cursive

During SXSW this past March, the one show I wanted to go check out but could not manage to was Cursive’s show at La Zona Rosa. It was a great opportunity to hear music from their then soon to be released album, Mama, I’m Swollen. Having been a fan of Cursive since the late 90s, I was disappointed I wasn’t able to get in. I have yet to see them live to this day. After listening to Mama, I’m Swollen, I am even more eager to make that dream a reality.

New Videos on Austin Vida

This month on Austin Vida we have introduced a new feature. Our new music editor, Ajay Miranda, has captured some great video from some amazing Austin bands like Brownout, Del Castillo and Pack of Wolves. Nortec Collective Coming Back to Austin

They were here last year as the headliner for the first Annual Pachanga Fest, but will be performing at Hogg Memorial Auditorium on September 25. To quickly describe Nortec Collective, I'd say they are a fusion of Mexican Norteno and techno. After having seen them live last year, I can honestly say that they do no dissapoint and the accordian player has the most blinged out accordian I've ever seen. It will be an awesome show to say the least. For those of you not familiar with Nortec, check out these two videos and turn it up loud.
